The test system is the same as our normal driver analysis article. As we mentioned we will be placing the sample driver we had which is known as the against the newly released and very official Catalyst 5.11 drivers.

We will be running it through all the same benchmarks so let's get cracking and see what we have here - this may be the kick the X1800XT needs to take the crown from the highly popular 7800GTX.

We can see that the X1800XT doesn't gain anything in 3DMark03 with the release of the first official X1800 driver.
