SiSoft Sandra (System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant) is a synthetic Windows benchmark that features different tests used to evaluate different PC subsystems.

 

 

Here we can see that the Gigabyte G1 is slightly faster than the Intel reference I975X board, however, its power over the 8I955X board in memory performance is quite impressive due to the extra features Intel has put into the chipset.
