Installation
Installation of the ADA890 speaker system is made dead simple by means of the detailed and easy to understand graphical user manual provided with the package. All the different plugs are colour coded and have a unique plug system so certain plugs can only plug into the correct ports, making it literally 100% fool proof.

After first thinking the installation process would be difficult with the vast amount of audio cables, after having a quick five-minute study over the user documentation, it was very simple to setup. After about an half an hour of plugging all the cables in and setting all the satellites up in their correct positions, I booted up into Windows and chucked a MP3 on and man, it simply blow me away – That’s probably the only way to describe it.

The only problem with a speaker system of this kind is the cables that float around the place, namely the cables which lead to the two back satellites. While they can be easily tucked away under certain places, it can be slightly annoying for a temporary setup where cables are just placed on the ground making it easy for them to be tripped over.

Conclusion

It’s not very often I find myself giving products a review rating of 10 out of 10, but I feel very confident in giving a product like the Altec Lansing ADA890 speaker system this rare rating – And not only that, but I’m also giving this system the prestigious TweakTown Editor’s Choice award which is so stringently handed out to only a handful of products. As everybody who hears the ADA890 speaker system in action that visits my place, they would all agree with me in saying that this speaker system is quite extraordinary and indeed mind blowing and quite possibly the best they have ever heard from a home entertainment system. I personally feel honoured to have such a fantastic home entertainment system under my own roof, Altec Lansing have done another great job in the ADA890 speaker system.
