Gigabyte GeForce 7800 GTX - Our first retail offering - Benchmarks - Doom 3

Hot on the heels of nVidia's GeForce 7800 GTX graphics card launch last week, we've already received Gigabyte's retail offering which is being shipped into the market around the world. We will be having a look at what Gigabyte are offering the public with the first retail 7800 GTX that we have seen. We will also be looking at if these cards offer us any extra performance over our reference cards that we looked at last week.

Doom 3 is the latest game to hit our test lab and is one of the most intensive games to dates. With our own custom time demo we are able to give a realistic rating on what kind of FPS you will be achieving.

For more information on benchmarking Doom 3 we recommend you check out our extensive article regarding it here.

Doom 3 is so consistent with its results and what you score the first time you will usually score every other time with a small fluctuation of .1 or .2 FPS. We can really see that our Gigabyte cards are spot on with the original reference cards.

How much does it cost me?
