Introduction

While the ATI Radeon X800 series of graphics chips perform very well they really have met their match when it comes to the GeForce 6 series line up from nVidia and it is the first time nVidia has really managed to keep up and pass ATI in a good couple of years. Just recently the X800 series from ATI has been extended with a new low-end PCI Express card coming into the picture and two new high-end PCI Express versions coming onto the market.

We will be looking at a couple of the new cards today from GeCube, the first being the Radeon X800XL which is designed to be competitive against the GeForce 6600GT and 6800 and the Radeon X850XT which is designed to compete with the higher end of the 6800 line up, the GeForce 6800GT and 6800 Ultra.

We will be looking at how these cards differ from their various models and how they go against each other as well as the 6600GT and 6800 Ultra from nVidia and see if the release was a worth while one.

Let's continue on and see what ATI have to offer in the high-end PCI Express graphics card market with their latest solutions.
