Introduction

It has been a known fact that when you think of high quality motherboards with tons of features, a select few come to mind. Asus, ABIT and Gigabyte are amongst the first three than come to my mind.

Another fact is that Gigabyte has made no secret of its diversity when it comes to its hardware profile. Gigabyte has produced boards in the past based on just about every chipset the market has to offer. Ali, SiS, VIA and Intel have all been used at one time or another, whichever seems to hold a market interest.

Gigabyte has a rather large Intel Pentium 4 motherboard line, and this line is ever increasing. We have seen SiS 655, 648 and 648FX, Intel Canterwood and Springdale and VIA P4X266 and P4X400 boards for this processor. Today Gigabyte pushes another Pentium 4 board out for the SiS supporters out there using the latest chipset offered from SiS, the 655FX.

Just what makes this board and Chipset special will become apparent to you very shortly, so come if you will and take a look behind the curtain that is the 8S655FX Ultra from Gigabyte.
