When it comes to choosing a power supply the goal must always be quality power output first, then anything else you want to look for second. With the 480 watt Butterfly we see an extraordinarily stable output of power along all power rails, so we have met the primary requirement.

We have also managed to get hold of a PSU which can add to the overall lighting scheme of our newest creation. With the mild colored lighting included with this package, you will see the ability to add a personal touch to the overall look of your rig. Given the increasing number of folks heading off to their weekend LAN party, this can only be a good thing. Add to this the cooling controls and even the extra fan and we have the makings of a sure winner.

I was unable to find pricing for this model yet due to it being so new, but considering the reasonable costs I have seen for other Thermaltake 480 watt units, I don't imagine it will be outrageously priced.

Bottom line...If you have been looking for a power supply and need something that not only gives quality power levels but also adds a personal touch to your system, then you have definitely found your PSU. With enough power to handle even the meatiest of enthusiast rigs and a unique lighting effect, the Thermaltake PurePower 480 watt Butterfly is all this and more!
