Gigabyte Radeon 9600 Pro Graphics Card Review - Conclusion

We would all love to be in the position to be able to buy a brand new Ferrari on the way to work tomorrow but of course due to the high retail it is inhibitive of actually happening unless your numbers come up in the Lottery. The same, to a lesser extent, applies to graphics cards. If you can't afford the Ferrari of graphics cards, follow Cameron "Sov" Johnson as he takes a look at the Gigabyte Radeon 9600 Pro. It might just be what your wallet was looking while satisfying your performance cravings!

TweakTown Rating: 7.5%Manufacturer: Gigabyte

Gigabyte has simply followed the ATI reference design for the G9600 Pro with only one modification, that being a slightly smaller PCB. Without a doubt, the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro based video cards are aimed at the more cost effective mainstream market, coming to the market without making a dent in your wallet while still maintaining decent performance.

Gigabyte's previous ATI based cards have been reasonable to great overclocking cards; this one has unfortunately fallen from the mold. While having a great software and features bundle, if you are looking to overclock the hell out of this one, you best look elsewhere.

- Pros

Cost Effective

Great performance for mainstream product

Great software bundle

- Cons

Poor Overclocking

No cooling on memory chips

Rating - 7.5 out of 10
