The temperature of the core is pulled from MSI Afterburner with the max reading used after a completed run off 3DMark Vantage and the Performance preset.

It comes as no surprise that this HIS HD 7970 6GB IceQ X2 video card sits in the bottom half of our graph here. While we're dealing with an extremely powerful card, the heatsink setup is just insane.
