HD Tune is a Hard Disk utility which has the following functions:

HD Tune Pro gives us accurate read, write and access time results and for the last couple of years has been gaining popularity amongst reviewers. It is now considered a must have application for storage device testing.

In HD Tune Pro we measure sequential performance across the drive using compressible data. The Zalman F1 240GB delivers an average speed of 417MB/s with a maximum of 426MB/s. The graph was steady, but we did have a couple of dips along the way. The minimum speed was 412MB/s.

The maximum write speed nearly knocked us out of our chairs at nearly 445MB/s. The average sequential write speed hit nearly 415MB/s, also an impressive number.
