Albatron are by far the youngest producer of PC components, including motherboards, video cards, wireless Bluetooth and LCD panels. Albatron made an impression on us at the 2002 Computex trade show in Taiwan. We caught a glimpse of their future products, which have now already been reviewed by us, but none the less we were more than impressed with what Albatron had accomplished, and were planing for a company that was literally just out of the diapers stages of PC technology.
Albatron has moved towards the overclockers market in their short time on the market, and has pushed out some motherboards that have been amongst the best of second tier motherboard manufacturers. While Albatron have given the Athlon XP its share of the market, Albatron has produced far more Intel Pentium 4 solutions, as there has been more chipsets for this platform.
Movement towards the new 800MHz FSB Pentium 4 has given companies like Albatron, with its need for overclocking and value systems, the chance for a new member for their motherboard portfolio.
