Chaintech Zenith 7NJS nForce2 Review - Benchmarks - Test Setup and Sandra

The original nForce chipset from nVidia did not turn out to be much of a success for the then new player in the chipset sector. nVidia have since learned from their mistakes and given us the nForce2 dual channel DDR-333 and DDR-400 chipset for the AMD Athlon platform. Today Cameron "Sov" Johnson gives us a full run down on Chaintech's feature-packed Zenith 7NJS nForce2 based motherboard. Have nVidia really learned from their mistakes? Read on and find out!

SiSoft Sandra 2003

SiSoft Sandra (the System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant) 2003 is a synthetic Windows benchmark that features different tests used to evaluate different PC subsystems. We used this to test CPU Raw Performance, Multimedia Instruction Set and Memory Bandwidth Performance. While they are all synthetic results, they do give us a general idea of what is happening and where a component's strengths and weaknesses are.

The nForce2 has proven so far that is can take out the top dog of AMD Athlon chipsets, that being VIA.
