- Software Bundle

We were quite surprised when we heard about the free software that would be included with the Audigy 2, and we're sure you will be too. As far as games go, Creative has included full version copies of both Hitman 2 and Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix. Furthermore, there is also a sample DVD audio disc for you to test the true capabilities of DVD audio, as well as copies of Cubasis VST CE, Traktor DJ CE and Ulead VideoStudio 5 SE.

The inclusion of two full version games is especially impressive, as they both provide EAX support, allowing you to take full advantage of your new sound card right out of the box without having to go and make any extra purchases at your favorite video game store.

Creative have also revamped their drivers and configuration software with the Audigy 2. They've not only made their customization software more pleasing to the eye, but have also made navigation through the various menus much easier and cut out much of the dreaded bloatware. That said, most the software's functionality is basically the same and those familiar with the original Audigy will not notice many unseen functions.
