GIGABYTE sends over a HD 5830 which looks the goods with a mean looking cooling fan. We look at it today on our new test setup.

The Card

GIGABYTE has opted for a new cooler which looks great. You can clearly see the two fans and the copper heat pipes coming out the top of the card.

As for the rest of the layout, there's nothing new; two 6-Pin power connectors, Crossfire connectors, two Dual-Link DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort.

When it comes to the clock rates, GIGABYTE hasn't done anything. Here we can see the core carries the default 800MHz clock while the 1GB of GDDR5 memory carries the usual 4000MHz QDR clock.
