Kingmax DDR-400 SDRAM Review - Conclusion

By: Cameron Johnson | DDR Memory in RAM | Posted: Jul 17, 2002 4:00 am
TweakTown Rating: 9.5%Manufacturer: Kingmax

Lately there have been some rumors going around that Kingmax's DDR-400 is a dud, from our tests have proven to be false. Kingmax DDR-400 does indeed do 400Mhz without any problems. Early samples have had some errors apparently been recorded. However, very few of these modules have made it to market. Most of the modules floating around were merely test samples sent out that have gotten into retail channels and are not true DDR-400.

Kingmax have placed a quality and stable product into the market and I have no hesitations with my recommendations of this memory.

-Available in 128/256/512MB sticks for price/performance

-Overclocks well

-Compatible with all chipsets

-Very rare to purchase at this point in time

-No style - Head spreader would have been nice

We rate this product 9.5 out of 10 and TweakTown's Editors Choice Award
