LANing is excellent fun, but I think I’d be correct in saying a lot of us gamers would get annoyed with having to lug our cases and accessories around to different peoples places all the time, especially when you just want to get setup and getting into some Counter Strike action! A newly formed company in the United States called CaseAce have a nifty solution for us... Introducing the CaseAce Gear Grip Pro (GGP). The GGP is just like a briefcase for your PC case. This is what the owner, Alan Payne, has to say about the product. "CaseAce Products was established in early 2000 when I realized, while hauling my computer system around to a friend’s house for a LAN party, that I was risking more than just my virtual skin. Computer systems are awkward and bulky and I had visions of fragging my system well before I got the chance to do the same to my friends. With that experience and my design and engineering background, the GearGrip-Pro was conceived, designed and manufactured."
And how true this is, I can remember one LAN I attended a few months ago where I had to take my case and keyboard etc up slippery stairs in the rain to the building where the LAN was located, just one slip and you can basically say good bye to your case. If only I had a GGP at that stage, it would have made transportation of the case quicker and less dangerous by a long shot. Apart from being very effective, the GGP is also very cool and it is something you would want to show off at LAN’s. As well as being able to carry your case, the GGP can also hold your keyboard, mouse, mouse pad and cables...
I don’t think there would be anyone who could carry their case, keyboard, mouse, mouse pad and cables all together for one trip for the car boot to the LAN building. This is where the GGP is great, instead of having to make 4 or 5 trips to your car, you only need to make 1 or 2, including grabbing your monitor. it’s always awkward having to hold your case etc and open doors and meet people, like I said above the GGP is like a briefcase (or bag) and while your gear is being held by the GGP opening doors etc is simple!
