MSI 645E Max2 Motherboard Review - Benchmarks - Test System and Sandra

For those who have been keeping up with the latest offerings from SiS, you'll immediately realize that they have been sorely lacking in the performance department. But recently they hit the streets with a new chipset that they hope will set the scales right. Come join Cameron "Sov" Johnson as he takes a look at the MSI 645E Max2 Motherboard based on the SiS 645DX chipset. Synthetic System Benchmarks - Sandra 2002 SP1

 

SiSoft Sandra (the System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant) 2002 is a synthetic windows benchmark that features different tests used to evaluate different PC subsystems. Service Pack 1 (SP1) adds new support for VIA P4X333, SiS 645DX and Intel I845E/G chipsets with their new Southbridges.

 

 

 

 

The MSI 645E Max2 is able to run ahead of the competition in the Memory Bandwidth tests. Our other two tests show that the board is optimized for P4 equally to the other boards available.
