WinTasks 4 Professional Review

Author: Jon Albiez SUMMARY: There are many utilities around that claim to “tweak” your PC for better performance. Hot on the heels of my PC Booster review, Leading Interactive Utilities (LIUtilities) was kind enough to invite me to review their “tweaking” product; WinTasks 4 Professional. Can this competing package stack up to the product from inKline Global? Come join Jon "Albinus" Albiez and let’s find out!

First Impressions

Although many other sites have reviewed this product, I felt that there was something missing... my analysis.

After establishing contact with Johan Malmberg (Marketing Manager at LIUtilities), he sent me a boxed version shipped from Sweden in a DVD case. This is an excellent idea, cuts down on the bulky cardboard box (that is usually 95% air anyway) and provides protection for the disc inside. Here’s a shot of what you get in the boxed version:

As you can see, the CD and a small but useful manual are provided. The manual is also provided in electronic format for those who prefer to read it that way. Installation couldn’t be easier; once the CD-ROM starts spinning a small dialog box asks whether you want to install WinTasks. Then it’s a simple matter of choosing the standard installation options such as the directory etc.
