The Core i7 965 EE processor comes overclocked to 3.6, up from 3.2 which equates to a 13% overclock. Intel finally has an answer to AMD's huge memory bandwidth performance. Here we see that the Core i7 is pushing big memory bandwidth numbers.

The Core 2 Quad system I tested the other day scored a 600 in Integer Math, which wasn't bad. The Core i7 overclocked to 3.6 scores just a little under 2,600.

ScienceMark 2

ScienceMark 2.0 is a mathematical program designed to stress the memory subsystems of both desktop/workstation and server environments to determine the read/write latency as well as the overall memory bandwidth available between the CPU and the memory controller.

ScienceMark 2 didn't care too much for the Core i7 and the Stream test would not complete. I really hope someone updates the code soon as I have always loved using this benchmark to test processor performance.
