As previously stated, the new G.Skill FM-25S2-128GB is the first MLC drive from G.Skill. The model number is very similar to the 64GB SLC drive we tested last month; The G.Skill FS-25S2-64GB. The main difference in the model name is the S has now changed to an M, so when ordering you will want to look for this.

The real story is in the price. The G.Skill MLC 128GB drive is currently available at Newegg for 284.99 USD. The Patriot Warp V2 we looked at just last week is showing up at Newegg for 425 and after a mail in rebate it goes down to 355. But we are jumping a little ahead here since we have yet to look at the performance numbers. Let's move on so we can get right to it.
