Our test with Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 is performed with a raw two hour AVI file. It is then compressed into DivX format using the latest version codec. We measure the time it takes to encode


Intel Core i7 Processor


Premiere Elements 4 gives us a real world look at the performance of the three different platforms. Thanks to the higher clock speeds and memory bandwidth of the Core i7 platform, we see that encoding timings have been reduced by quite a bit over the Core 2. It does a great job of chewing through the task.
