The Packaging and The Patriot Warp
The Warp comes with a package that isn’t too flashy yet has a subtle dark side to it.
The features are listed on the back as is the warranty (2 years).
With the outer packaging removed, we found that the drive had sufficient protection with its molded plastic case.
The drive has the V2 logo on it and you will be able to look for this when shopping, but you will need to remove the drive from the outer box. Other than that the drive looks like most of the other SSDs we have seen in the lab.
The back of the drive is a solid black with the serial and part number information laser inscribed. You can see the SATA and power connectors in this image also.
From the side we see that the Warp is 9.5mm tall, the standard size for notebook drives. The bottom drive is a SAS drive that is 12mm tall. All of the mounting holes line up so you will be fine installing the Warp in your notebook.
From the back we see that the Patriot Warp conforms to all of the standards placed on notebook drives, it is ready to plug in and go!
The instructions left us a little wanting, but were written well. Some people may need a pictorial step by step guide, but then again most of those people are not even aware of SSD technology yet.
