Final Thoughts

The HD 4670 is an impressive card; it offers some good numbers for a mid-range card while being competitive on the price front. With the MSI HD 4670 coming clocked in at default speeds, it's no surprise that the performance of the card is extremely similar to the Sapphire option.

Fortunately, the card is not just a copy cat, though; the cooler that MSI have opted for, while being dual slot, is nothing short of fantastic and helps keeps temps way down. It also manages to be slightly quieter than the cooler that Sapphire has chosen due to the fact that MSI have gone for a bigger fan that spins slower.

Where MSI have disappointed us is in the package department; the quiet cooler and excellent cooling performance would have made it a great companion for a HTPC, but the lack of TV-Out or included HDMI connector means that it's really not an option.

The MSI HD 4670 is a good card, but with a few extras it could have been great. We're sure that MSI will probably make more variations of the card and hopefully the HDMI connectivity is something they look at.
