The Package
As you would expect, Sapphire has opted for a much smaller box to help keep the cost of freight down on the new budget aimed HD 4550. Across the top of the box we have the Sapphire logo; below that, their motto, mention of the series and the fact the card comes with 512MB of GDDR3 memory.
In the middle of the box we have a picture and below that we have the model mentioned again; in this case the HD 4550. Moving down a little more we have some features of the card and right across the bottom we have a number of logos that relate to the card.
Turning the box over, we again have the Sapphire logo at the top and the logos across the bottom. We also see a few of the awards that Sapphire has won and the model is also mentioned. The middle of the box gives us a bit of a blurb on the card, some of the main features on offer and a rundown of what’s included in the box.
Being on the lower end side of things, we didn’t expect a whole lot with the package. Opening it up, though, we where pleasantly surprised. As far as standard items go we find a quick install guide, driver CD and sticker.
The cable department also has the typical component out dongle, S-Video to RCA connector and DVI to VGA connector, but Sapphire has also taken the time to include a DVI to HDMI connector as well as a low profile bracket for those needing it.
