Packaging and Software Bundle

- Software Bundle

Abit has bundled a few goodies with this card to ensure that you can make full use of its features straight out of the box. Firstly, the driver CD contains nVidia's 21.83 detonator drivers and DirectX 8.0. Since the release of this card, nVidia have released a couple more updated driver sets so we suggest that you download and install the latest drivers for maximum performance.

Also featured on the driver CD are a few handy utilities, the first being "3Deep Colour" and the second being "NVFlash". 3Deep Colour proposes to "correct lighting, shading and colour for all your 2D and 3D games", while NVFlash allows you to flash the BIOS of your video card with an updated revision. Another nice inclusion was a copy of WinDVD, one of the most popular DVD players available. Overall it was quite a nice software package but it would have been nice to see a few games included with the card, like we have seen done by a few other manufacturers; most notably 3DPower.

- Cables & User's Manual

To allow you to take advantage of the card's TV out features, Abit include a mini-din 9 pin to S-Video and RCA adaptor cable, an S-Video cable and a composite (RCA) cable. Another thing worth noting is that the User's Manual Abit includes with the card is very comprehensive, clearly detailing how to install the card and all of its software. It also explains how to flash the BIOS and optimize display properties.
