Specifications, Availability and Pricing

The upper tier of CoolIT’s catalog features products that use several peltier units to bring the processor below ambient case temperature levels, but the PURE is strictly a water cooling unit. With added components comes added cost, so by reducing the components the PURE has a much lower retail cost. While the flagship Elite model costs well over 400 US Dollars, the PURE we are looking at today is available from CoolIT’s website for 134.99 US Dollars. This is well above the cost of our highest performing cooler we have tested so far, but is on par with other water cooling systems on the market today.

CoolIT has built a good reputation with their products and the quality has been considered very good over the years. With their good name, the company has started moving products in retail locations; I have seen CoolIT products available at Fry’s locations, and this makes it easier to put products in the hands of end users quickly and eliminates the hassle of waiting for a unit to be shipped to your location.

The CoolIT PURE is an all-inclusive package that is pre-filled at the factory and ready to install on your AMD or Intel processor based motherboard right from the box. The entire system is powered off a single 4-pin Molex power connector, just like a CD or DVD-ROM.
