Zalman is known for quality and durability in their product lines, many of which have achieved cult status among the many gamers and PC enthusiasts out there. However, what is surprising is that Zalman has always been a cooling component and PC case manufacturer, with recent forays into PSUs and various other peripherals.
Some examples of such products would include the CNPS6500A cooler which caught the world’s attention as being an impressive silent solution for cooling CPUs way back when Zalman were trying to make a name for themselves. At that time, it was almost unheard of for heatsinks to be without active cooling for high-end processors. Admittedly, the product was eye catching as well as a good performer, as you can see below.
Throughout the years of progress, we have seen products such as cases designed by and for gamers like the Fatal1ty Champion case. I still have that case as my personal favorite, and while it is heavy, there is nothing else on the market to match its usefulness in keeping my components cool while remaining almost absolutely quiet. The latest innovation and by far the most impressive one in my mind is the new ZM-M220W TRIMON 3D monitor which I am reviewing today.
