Introduction

Since 2002, the folks at Seasonic USA have been putting together some power supplies that are aimed at the DIY crowd. A subsidiary of Sea Sonic Electronics Co, LTD, the parent company has been in the IT component business since 1975. While we have looked at some of this company's offerings in the past, this is the first that is specifically geared toward the mid-level gaming crowd.

With so many power supplies out there, though, how can we know if we are investing in a worthy product? Today we will help answer that question and put this new kid on the block to the test. We'll look at what it offers in the line of features then load up a system and see how well it performs. After all, when it comes to our upgrading dollars we need to know we're getting a good deal.

So relax for a bit as we delve into the Seasonic M12II 500 watt power supply. Is it worthy of our consideration? Read on to find out for yourself.
