Test Results

TweakTown uses a different method for testing CPU heatsinks which allows for an even playing field across all product tests. We feel that by using the same ambient temperature and strict lab-like testing procedures we are able to accurately compare one product to another. More information on our testing procedure can be found in the T.E.C.C. article here.

As you can see, the Rosewill RCX-Z5 performs much better at full load than any of our previously tested CPU cooling products. On the low or idle load side the Z5 also performs very well and the difference between full and Idle load is less than 5C.

Acoustic performance for the Z5 is also the best we have tested. At full speed we found the Z5 to perform better than a stock AMD retail unit at idle speeds; very impressive.
