Prey is one of the newest games to be added to our benchmark line-up. It is based off the Doom 3 engine and offers stunning graphics passing what we’ve seen in Quake 4 and does put quite a lot of strain on our test systems.
Dropping down the quality settings we will be able to bring Prey to a playable setup at 1024 x 768, but we wouldn’t hope for much at the higher resolution. The 8500GT manages to be almost 50% faster here and would provide a very playable setup with the adjustment of only a few settings.
