ASUS A7V266 KT266 Motherboard - A7V266 - Page 5

Asus has been in the motherboard business for quite some time now. They always try to create a board with the latest chipsets, and for the most part try to make them overclocker friendly. So let's go on a tour of the A7V266 board with Sov as he tells us whether or not this motherboard should be considered when it comes time for your next upgrade.

Conclusion

The ASUS A7V266 took us by surprise. For a company that has prided itself on having the fastest boards out, this one has fallen a bit short. However, the stability of the A7V266 was well beyond excellent. During out tests at 133Mhz FSB this system outlasted the other systems by 70%. Compatibility was also well above average, and so were the features. A rather good board but a bit expensive.

let's see ASUS' KT266A solution. Should be interesting.

Pros

- Fast

- Stable

- 6 Channel Sound

Cons

- Rather pricey

- Performance not as high as hoped.

Rating - 7.5/10
