The Package

Like we find with most of the BFG Tech mid-range cards we have a shrink wrapped box that has a clear space in the middle to let us see inside.

The box has all the standard information on the front, PCI Express, model number across the top along with how much memory. For our American readers you also get 24/7 free tech support while most countries get to make use of the lifetime warranty on offer. We can also see the connectors on offer which included dual dual-link DVI, HDTV-out and TV-out

Turning the box over we have extended information on the card which includes information on the 2nd generation of PureVideo HD, DirectX 10 support, and full support for Windows Vista and its Aero interface.

The bottom right of the corner gives us an idea on what graphics card is best for you depending on what you want to do, what is interesting is thanks to PureVideo HD 2 the playback HD DVD and Blu-Ray content is actually better on these cards then the more expensive 8800 series. This is fantastic news for people who are looking for a new computer for their home theater PC.

Moving inside the box we have our break out cable that lets us output to HDTV, alongside this we have our PCI Express power connector if you do not have the necessary power cable included on your power supply and finally we have ourselves 2 DVI-VGA connectors which are quite large, BFG Tech seem to be the only company that use the longer DVI-VGA connectors, they are a bit weird but there are two so it is all good.

Included with in the package is a bit of paperwork to help you get up and running as soon as possible, also included are 2 BFG Tech stickers along with a driver CD which also has a copy of the manual on it.

The package content is a bit light, we probably would have liked to have seen a game but BFG tends to let its service speak for the card with features like 24/7 tech support and lifetime warranty. Sometimes these are more often more valuable to people then a game they will stop playing after a few weeks.
