The Package

The package follows suit of what we saw from the original XFX 8800GTX when it was first released to the market. The big white box shows us a picture of a scary looking werewolf and we of course have the model and the fact that the model is the XXX edition. We also see that Ghost Recon is included and the core and memory speeds of the card which of course is pre-overclocked from the factory.

Turning the box over we have a picture of the card along with some more details on some of the features that the 8800 series core has to offer. We also have a graph that gives us an idea how the card compares to some of the earlier and lower series cards from nVidia.

Moving inside the paper work is all very standard with a quick install guide and what exactly each plug on your card can and cannot do. On the CD side of things we have the driver CD which we wouldn't recommend using (always download the latest drivers online) and we also have a copy of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.

Finally moving onto the cables included we have dual link DVI to VGA connectors, Component out cable and an S-Video out cable. We again don't have any PCI Express power connectors for people who do not have these types of connectors on their power supply.

Why XFX continue not to include the PCI Express power connector in the package is slightly beyond us. It's good to see we have a full version game included though with Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 being released on consoles already and Rainbow Six Vegas (another Clancy game being out) we would have probably preferred for something that is a little more recent. With that said though, it is a better game than a lot of other companies choose to package with their cards sometimes.
