Final Thoughts

When it comes to advancement in component technology, power supplies have gone through more enhancements than most system other parts. Even though manufacturers are looking for ways to reduce the power consumption of modern components, their sheer added power continue to lift the need for pure power to new levels. Add to this the rising popularity of dual core and multiple GPU enthusiast rigs and the need goes even higher.

OCZ has come out with a fine product that is capable of handling the stresses of an SLI or dual GPU system and still have enough power to feed all the other hungry components waiting in line for more juice. Even with plenty of storage hooked up to the test system all was steady.

As far as price is concerned, you can expect to pay in the range of US$185-200 for this product. Given the current market trend, this is going to be toward the upper edge of the price scale for this type of power supply. Availability is like all other OCZ products; it can be found at several vendors and is generally in stock. It is rare that we have any availability issues with OCZ.

Bottom line... If you are considering a new power supply and are looking for something that isn't total overkill but will still give you ample power and room to grow, take a look at the OCZ EvoStream line. They are made with the enthusiast in mind and have a full modular design to aid in the airflow of your system. With power levels as steady as this and plenty of juice for all, it is hard to find complaint with this product.
