AVADirect, a world-renowned provider of custom notebooks, introduces the P180HM, 18.4" high-end gaming notebook

Posted: Oct 11, 2011 6:27 am | More Press Releases: Laptops

Twinsburg, OH - Sept 27, 2011

The Clevo P180HM is based off of the Clevo X8100 which was a Mobile Core 2 Duo notebook. The latest Clevo P180HM notebook has significantly improved performance gain due to the capability of the Sandy Bridge chipset. Starting with an SLI configuration with GTX 560 mobile graphics processors, this makes the P180HM very appealing to those who want a large full LED HD display combined with high-end gaming performance.

The P180HM returns with improved functionality than ever before. HDMI 1.4a provides the latest support for HD video and surround-sound audio carried with a single connection. Two USB 3.0 ports are a great addition to compete with current demand for plenty of high-speed data connections for peripheral devices. The newest addition this time around includes a USB AC/DC port for use in combination with USB powered devices, such as external media. The port can also be used for eSATA devices that require AC power, making the P180HN a truly portable platform with the complete capability to disconnect from all power sources and remain effective.

The X8100 used Nvidia's mobile 200 series graphics cards. Since then there have been vast improvements to power consumption, heat dissipation, and performance. The P180HM now uses Nvidia's latest 500 series mobile graphics cards. Specifically, Nvidia's GTX 560M card; recently dubbed the most efficient mobile graphics card based on the price to performance ratio. Each GTX 560M carries 1.5GB of dedicated video RAM. The P180HM provides GTX 560M card in SLI at stock, giving you a total of 3GB GDDR5 of dedicated video RAM. Maximum amount of RAM supported comes to 12GB of DDR3 SODIMM, and the latest SSDs available per the AVADirect website.

The base price of AVADirect' Clevo P180HM is $1943.52; nearly $500.00 less than all flagship notebooks upon release!

Specifications for the stock configuration include:
