Emerson's RIDGID(R) Introduces Customized Contractor-Grade Laptops Powered by Dell OEM Solutions
ELYRIA, Ohio, Aug. 25, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- RIDGID(R), a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and a leading manufacturer of innovative tools, equipment and video inspection devices for the professional trades, today announced a new family of rugged laptops and convertible tablet PCs, based on the award-winning Dell Latitude E-Family and customized by Dell OEM Solutions to meet the specific needs of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Pre-configured with customized software access to RIDGID informational resources and diagnostic tools, the "contractor-grade" laptops are designed to work with RIDGID inspection systems and withstand the harshest of conditions encountered on jobsites including pounding rain, blowing dust and dirt, extreme temperatures and accidental drops up to four feet.
