Creative Wins Multiple "red dot design awards" for Outstanding Product Design Innovation and Quality for its Premium ZiiSound D5 Speaker System, Aurvana In-Ear2 Earphones and HS-930i Headset

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - 13 July 2010 - Creative Technology Ltd. today announced multiple wins in the prestigious German-based international "red dot design award" - the largest and most renowned design competition in the world. The ZiiSound D5 speaker system, Creative Aurvana In-Ear2 earphones and Creative HS-930i headset were awarded the esteemed "red dot award: product design 2010" which recognises outstanding product designs for their innovation, functionality and quality standards. The "red dot award: product design 2010" was selectively awarded to 45 products out of over 4,000 entries from 57 participating countries this year.

Each year, an international jury reviews and evaluates the submitted products according to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality and the formal quality which ensures the seriousness of the competition and its international acceptance. The group of jurors is made up of renowned designers and design experts from all over the world who reach their decisions on the red dot award winners independently and impartially. "All products that have won an award in the red dot design award had to convince an international expert jury of their quality. The products stand out from the masses with their excellent design and innovative approaches and proved their quality in one of the toughest design competitions worldwide," explains design expert Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator of the red dot design award. "This year, designers and companies from 57 nations with a total of 4,252 products took part in the 'red dot award: product design'."

"We are very pleased that the ZiiSound D5 speaker system, Aurvana In-Ear2 earphones and HS-930i headset have emerged victorious and won the "red dot award: product design 2010" amongst such stiff competition on an international platform. Having won numerous red dot awards for our products over the years, the recent awards further strengthen our position as a company capable of exceptional product design across a broad category of products such as portable media players, speaker systems, earphones, external sound cards and video conferencing systems," said Joseph Liow, Vice President for Personal Digital Entertainment Products at Creative. "Our in-depth research on current trends, ergonomic designs and quality material is paying off with the number of awards and accolades we are receiving for our products."
