GIGABYTE Delivers Memory Boost for Latest P45/P43 Motherboards
Allowing Users to Reach Even Greater Performance Heights
Taipei, Taiwan, August 25, 2008 - GIGABYTE UNITED INC., a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards is proud to announce their entire lineup of Intel P45 and P43 chipset based motherboards have just received a DDR2 memory performance upgrade. By upgrading to the latest BIOS, GIGABYTE P45 motherboards are able to support native 1333MHz DDR2 memory, while the GIGABYTE P43 motherboards are able to support 1200MHz DDR2 memory natively.
In addition to providing industry-leading memory support, GIGABYTE has equipped their latest P45 and P43 motherboards with a comprehensive toolkit of features including Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced, GIGABYTE's Ultra TPM, Smart Backup - Plug & Play Hardware RAID, and a host of other features that not only maximize performance and energy efficiency, but also provide the highest levels of data security.
GIGABYTE P45/P43 Unique Features
New GIGABYTE Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced
GIGABYTE's Dynamic Energy Saver (DES) has once again proven itself as the industry leading energy saving technology with newly introduced Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced. Featuring improved algorithms that provide a more accurate power saving calculation, GIGABYTE Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced provides better energy saving capabilities and enhanced system performance. GIGABYTE Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced is the world's only motherboard energy saving technology with hardware-based Dynamic 6-Gear* Switching. With support for VRD 11.1, GIGABYTE's DES Advanced allows the motherboard to switch to 1 Gear phase switching during idle, allowing for a dramatic increase in power savings.
Designed with advanced users in mind, Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced allows users to take advantage of energy savings with or without the use the Dynamic Energy Saver Utility, for always-on, hardware based power savings. GIGABYTE has also retooled Dynamic Energy Saver to allow overclockers to experience the benefits of multi-gear power phase switching while overclocking, providing ultra stable, ultra smooth overclocking performance.
Ultra TPM - Industry's highest level of data Security via onboard TPM
With a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chip built-in, GIGABYTE provides TPM hardware-based encryption and decryption with digital signature keys to ensure a maximum level of data protection with 2048 bit encryption. GIGABTE's Ultra TPM provides an added layer of security by allowing users to store their digital signature key on a USB thumb drive, so that when they step away from their system, they can take the key with them, locking up their data and preventing unauthorized access while they are away. When making the portable user key, GIGABYTE's Ultra TPM auto deletes the user key in the hard drive, ensuring the maximum level of data protection.
DualBIOS - Patented Dual Hardware BIOS Protection
DualBIOS is a GIGABYTE patented technology that automatically recovers BIOS data when main BIOS has crashed or failed. Featuring 2 physical BIOS ROMs integrated onboard, GIGABYTE DualBIOS allows quick and seamless recovery from BIOS damage or failure due to viruses or improper BIOS updating.
GIGABYTE has completely redesigned EasyTune6 from the ground up to make it easier than ever to manage and monitor your hardware resources as well as tweak your system settings in order to achieve maximum system performance. Whether you are an overclocking enthusiast, or a computer novice, EasyTune6 provides the tools you need to quickly and effortlessly fine tune your system.
Hardware Overvoltage Control ICs
GIGABYTE P45/P43 motherboards also include Hardware Overvoltage Control ICs which provide more voltage control options than before for the CPU North Bridge and memory. The overvoltage controllers also provide hardware linear real-time voltage control, which means there is no delay compared to the GPIO controller in past implementations. In addition, GIGABYTE's Hardware Overvoltage Controller ICs also allow for much finer voltage control, allowing power users to adjust voltage in as little increments as 20mV for better overclocking performance.
Dolby Home Theater®
GIGABYTE has also included the powerful Dolby Home Theater® suite of audio technologies, which deliver a vivid surround sound listening experience for music, movies, and games, using two to eight speakers or any set of headphones. Designed to automatically deliver the best possible listening experience, Dolby Home Theater® includes Dolby Pro Logic IIx for maximum surround sound expansion, Dolby Headphone and Sound Space Expander for a virtualized audio experience, and Natural Bass enhancement for the richest quality sound.
