Synology expands with Y-cam solution range

Synology® Expands Surveillance Alliance with IP Camera Manufacturer Y-cam Solutions

 

Taipei, Taiwan-August 6, 2009-Synology® Inc. today announced its alliance with IP camera manufacturer Y-cam Solutions, which broadens Synology's surveillance support by integrating Y-camexisting products in Synology's Surveillance Station software and achieving the mutual agreement on early testing and verification of future products.

 

Current support covers Y-cam three models, Y-cam Black, Y-cam White, and Y-cam Knight, and will be reflected in Synology's next firmware update, Disk Station Manager 2.2. Videos in MJPEG and MPEG4 formats, motion detection, audio streaming, and wireless interface will be fully supported by Surveillance Station 2 in the official release in September. The technical teams plan to conduct early testing and verification on future products to ensure optimal performance of Y-cam cameras on Synology Disk Station.
