Fremont, CA - August 7, 2008 - Antec, Inc., the leading global provider of high-performance components for the gaming, PC Upgrade and Do-It-Yourself markets, has launched the Multimedia Station, a high-performance computing kit that enables users to upgrade their existing PCs into complete multimedia centers.

The Antec Multimedia Station bundle includes an IR receiver, a remote and iMEDIAN HD media management software. Extremely easy to install, Antec's Multimedia Station delivers a robust, stylish and functional solution that can be tailored to meet the needs of any and all home theater enthusiasts. The Multimedia Station is available in four different models to accommodate all user needs, from the portable and lightweight Multimedia Station E-Z to the deluxe and stylish Multimedia Station Premier.

All four models come with the highly praised iMEDIAN HD software by iMON. This software enables users to instantly control and manage all of their media files, connect to networks and more - all in a stylish graphical interface. iMEDIAN HD supports full 1080p resolution, can play nearly all media formats and is compatible with Windows Media Center Edition, Windows Vista and XP.

Multimedia Station Basic

The package for entry-level builders includes the Standard Remote and an IR Receiver designed to fit into a 3.5" drive bay. The receiver can be powered on or off by remote, or by a preset power schedule.

Targeted at builders looking for exceptional style and convenience, the Multimedia Station Elite contains a Deluxe Remote and an IR Receiver with VFD display and volume control for 5.25" drive bays. The receiver includes an easily accessed volume control wheel and a VFD display.

Multimedia Station Premier

Designed for users looking for the ultimate comfort, style and functionality from their home theater. In addition to a Deluxe Remote, the Multimedia Station Premier features a deluxe IR receiver designed to fit into two 5.25" drive bays. This receiver boasts an LCD display and a front media control panel with menu navigation, a volume control wheel and media playback buttons.

"When it comes to upgrading to a home theater PC, one common complaint is that the process is too complicated and expensive. The Multimedia Station makes that process easy, convenient, and affordable," says Scott Richards, senior vice president at Antec. "These four high-quality bundles include everything users need to convert their existing PC into a state-of-the-art multimedia center."

The Multimedia Station E-Z will retail for $29.95, Basic for $39.95, Elite for $99.95 and Premier for $119.95 and is backed by Antec's Quality 3-Year Warranty. For additional product information and full technical specifications, please visit http://www.antec.com.
