X-Slim X400, X600 usher in new era in thin, light notebooks

Its whole line of new products, several of which received Computex 2009 Best Choice Awards, are ready to be presented at the six-day exhibition (2~6 June). X400, X600 notebooks break records for thinness and weight
MSI's introduction of the X-Slim X340, the first slim notebook in the world to use the Intel CULV platform, marked another upsurge in interest in slim laptops. In the wake of that accomplishment, MSI will be unveiling new members of the X-Slim family, including the 14" X400 and the X600, the world's lightest 15.6" laptop. This marks the end of the era of heavy, awkward notebooks and the beginning of an era of lean, mean, gorgeous machines.
The 14" X-Slim X400 comes equipped with a standard slender lithium polymer battery and tips the scales at only 1.5kg, while the 15.6" X-Slim X600 weighs in at only 2kg, battery included. Both models are less than 1-inch thin and have 16:9 theater-class LED screens, full I/O ports, and Blu-Ray support. The X600 is also equipped with an internal independent display card to maximize visual pleasure.
U115 Hybird wins Computex Best Choice Award - Wind Pro U200-First 12" with Intel CULV makes debut
With the introduction last year of the 10" Wind U100 mini notebook, MSI became one of the top four mini laptop name brands in the world. Now, other manufacturers are falling over each other trying to develop their own 10-inchers. MSI continues to lead the way because of the advantage it enjoys in mini laptop technology. It will be unveiling the most practical mini notebooks on the market, including the U115 Hybrid, the U123, which can be used to watch digital TV, the U120, which supports 3.5G and WiMAX, and the first 12" mini notebook on the market-the U200. The U115 Hybrid received the Best Choice Award from Computex organizers.
The U115 Hybrid is the world's first mini laptop to use both SSD (solid state disk) and traditional HDD (hard drive disk). The innovative hybrid storage design and ECO power-saving technology give it an eye-popping 16 hours of battery life-another record for minis. With the introduction of the U200, the first 12" mini notebook to come equipped with the Intel CULV platform, MSI has become the first manufacturer in the world to extend the size range of mini laptops. 12-inch screens are bound to become a standard size in mini notebooks. MSI's new mainstream 12" Wind U200 shows that notebook computers can be fashionable and light while still being powerful and energy efficient.
Enjoy mobility at low cost with the all new Classic C Series
The Classic C Series has been added to MSI's lineup this year with MSI unveiling the CX700, CR700, CX600, CR600, and CR400 in June. The beautifully slim Classic Value Series is the answer for people on-the-go and it's easy on the pocketbook, too. It's just the thing to lure desktop diehards to take the plunge and join the modern mobile masses.
The CX700, CR700, CX600, CR600, and CR400 come with 17.3", 16", and 14" LCD screens with 16:9 theater ratio and weighing in at just 3kg, 2.48kg, and 2.1kg, respectively. They are especially suited to enjoying high-resolution cinema quality entertainment. For smooth graphics, high resolution, and great 3D effects, the CX700 comes with the advanced ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 independent display card (DDR2 512MB VRAM built in), the CX600 has the advanced ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 independent display card (DDR2 512MB VRAM built in), and the CR400 has the exceptionally efficient NVIDIA Geforce 8200MG.
CNN reports on MSI AIO Wind Top AE1900
To show its commitment for the AIO market, MSI has dedicated itself to building a complete series of all-in-one products to meet consumer needs. These include the world's thinnest AIO AP1900, the AE1900 with touchscreen, the AE2010/AE2000 with touchscreen in classic leather, the 22" AE2200 designed for video entertainment, and the AE2201 which recently made its debut in a series of worldwide product watching ceremonies. They come equipped with the Wind Touch UI (user interface) developed exclusively for the Wind Top Series and many exclusive applications that enable users to use the touchscreen with ease.
CNN recently carried a story about MSI's first Wind Top AE1900 All-in-one computer with touchscreen during a recent special program for World Earth Day. The anchor and environmental technology expert being interviewed both praised the Wind Top AE1900 for its ultra-low power consumption. They pointed out that it consumes a mere 50 watts per hour under full performance conditions, compared to the 250 watts expended by most other PCs-that's 80% less power consumed. MSI would like to add that if the Wind Top AE1900 is left running 24 hours a day, you can save more than US$100 (some NT$3,900) in electricity bills in a year compared to other desktop computers left on for the same amount of time.
Military specs, heat dissipation technology display cards, DrMOS, Easy OC Family Mainboard
Turning to display cards and motherboards, MSI is currently introducing its new generation N275GTX Lightning which is based on the N260GTX Lightning design and which incorporates MSI's exclusive APS power saving technology. MSI will also be displaying a full line of products incorporating military class components and will be introducing in detail the Hi-c CAP, SSC (Solid State Choke), and Solid CAP, officially marking the realization of MSI's objective of combining performance and stability. Furthermore, in addition to showing, analyzing, and introducing in detail such advanced heat dissipation technology as Twin Frozr thermal design and the Cyclone thermal design, MSI will be displaying the R4890 Cyclone, which brings together SuperPipe technology and Cyclone thermal design-an industry first, to demonstrate to visitors that MSI puts a great deal of attention into developing heat dissipation systems for display cards and that it's good at it.
MSI's motherboards are the best in the industry. Its smart DrMOS power design switches power phases on or off to increase efficiency while enhancing power quality. It's the most advanced power design on the market. To satisfy user demand for easy overclocking, MSI did some innovative tweaking to motherboards. Various easy overclocking technologies, including OC Jumper, Easy OC Switch, OC Dial, and MAX FSB, have been imported into the P45, so that users can enjoy overclocking performance without the hassle of figuring out all those complicated settings. In addition to introducing these existent easy overclocking technologies, MSI will also be officially announcing the all new MSI OC Genie at this year's Computex. It completely simplifies operations. All you need to do is depress the on-off switch to maximize performance. This hassle free way of enhancing performance is bound to stir up a new easy overclocking trend during the latter half of this year.
MSI servers and industrial computers
MSI will also be presenting a series of servers equipped with Intel's Tylersburg platform at Computex. They include the 1-socket and 2-socket servers and the Workstation motherboard, as well as the 1U and 2U Server System Barebones. To do our part to conserve power and reduce carbon emissions, all of the power supplies for MSI's new servers have passed official 80Plus certification.
During this year's Computex, the new MSI's Industrial Platform Service (IPS) will be unveiling early its all new fanless system products, including the MS-9A16, a high performance computing system that supports Intel® Core 2 Duo, the mini 3.5" MS-9A19 single board computer, the MS-9A26, which uses the Intel® Poulsbo XL chipset, and a new improved version of the WindBOX, introduced earlier this year. This complete range of products is aimed at meeting the spec needs of different industries.
