MSI GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series has a new EXPERT card that looks like a Founders Edition model

Kosta Andreadis | Jan 8, 2024 10:06 PM CST

MSI has announced its full NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series lineup for the new GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4080 SUPER announced at CES 2024. In addition to the new SUPRIM, GAMING X TRIO, GAMING X SLIM, and VENTUS cards, the company is introducing a brand-new design called EXPERT.

MSI's new GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series EXPERT card(s) feature a "push-pull airflow design for enhanced cooling" reminiscent of NVIDIA's Founders Edition design - with one fan on each side of the GPU. Throw in Aluminum Die-Casting to give it a metallic look, Vapor Chamber cooling, and a new 'patented fan design.' It looks stylish and very cool.

There is no word yet on which of the three RTX 40 SUPER Series cards will be getting EXPERT models or if all of them will, so stay tuned for more details. If we had to guess, we'd expect EXPERT models for the RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER.

GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER Founders Edition models look incredible in all black

Kosta Andreadis | Jan 8, 2024 10:58 AM CST

NVIDIA revamped its Founders Edition design for the GeForce RTX GPUs with the GeForce RTX 30 Series, where it introduced one of the most stylish and unique GPU designs in years. From revamped cooling with intake and exhaust fans on each side of the GPU to an all-metal build with intricate fins, it's a look and design language that has carried through to the Ada-powered GeForce RTX 40 Series.

Kosta Andreadis | Jan 8, 2024 10:30 AM CST

After several months of leaks, rumors, and official teases, the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series of GPUs has been officially unveiled at CES 2024. Based on specs, pricing, and performance, the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER all make a strong case for potentially picking up a new NVIDIA GPU.

GeForce RTX 4070, RTX 4070 Ti, and RTX 4080 SUPER announced - pricing, specs, and performance!

NVIDIA is increasing performance without increasing prices - in the case of the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER (launching January 31), the price is being lowered from an MSRP of $1199 USD to $999 USD - a 16.7% decrease. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER (launching January 24) replaces the existing $799 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti while bumping up the specs and the VRAM capacity to 16GB of fast GDDR6X memory for the same price.

And then there's the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER (launching January 17), which features 20% more CUDA Cores than the GeForce RTX 4070 to deliver "faster than GeForce RTX 3090" 1440p gaming performance for the same MSRP of $599 USD. And with that, the TGP is increasing to 220W compared to 200W on the baseline GeForce RTX 4070.

Radeon RX 7600 XT with 16GB of VRAM announced, $329 and launching January 24

Kosta Andreadis | Jan 8, 2024 9:30 AM CST

AMD has announced its new RDNA 3 GPU at CES 2024 as the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16G. Yes, this is another mainstream GPU from Team Red, but this time with 16GB of VRAM for $329 USD.

Radeon RX 7600 XT with 16GB of VRAM announced, $329 and launching January 24

Available January 24, 2024, with models from Acer, ASRock, ASUS, GIGABYTE, PowerColor, Sapphire, and XFX, it's set to fill the sizable performance gap between the Radeon RX 7600 and the Radeon RX 7700 XT. At least, that was the expectation. Per AMD, in-game performance will be closer to the 7600 than the 7700 XT.

With 16GB of VRAM, AMD notes that this mainstream GPU is 'ready to take on 1440p' in games where VRAM capacity is a concern but is better suited for AI and content creation. Outside of the bump in VRAM and faster clock speeds, the specs are identical to the existing Radeon RX 7600 non-XT that launched in May 2023. What does this mean for performance? Let's dig into AMD's benchmarks and info.

NVIDIA's RTX 5000 GPUs on track for Q4 2024 launch but don't expect a Lovelace performance leap

Darren Allan | Jan 5, 2024 3:07 AM CST

NVIDIA's RTX 5000 graphics cards are on schedule to be launched at the end of this year, according to the latest from the rumor mill.

NVIDIA's RTX 5000 GPUs on track for Q4 2024 launch but don't expect a Lovelace performance leap

YouTube leaker Moore's Law is Dead discussed NVIDIA's next-gen GPUs in a recent video (see above), also touching on the topic of the performance levels of these incoming boards - with a major caveat.

Regarding the release date, Moore's Law is Dead believes (add an appropriate amount of salt to all this, naturally) that Team Green is on track to have RTX 5000 GPUs out by Q4 2024 (and he seems pretty certain on that, having floated this timeframe before, too).

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series pricing leaked, here's what to expect

Anthony Garreffa | Jan 4, 2024 11:09 PM CST

NVIDIA is gearing up for the reveal of its new GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series GPU pricing, and now we've got some juicy leaks covering the pricing of all three of the new RTX 40 SUPER series graphics cards.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series pricing leaked, here's what to expect

In his latest video, Tom from Moore's Law is Dead covers leaked pricing that sees an MSRP of $999 for the flagship GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER. NVIDIA's second fastest refreshed new card, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, will reportedly have an MSRP of $799, while the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER is reportedly priced at $599.

This is coming from multiple sources of Moore's Law is Dead, with a distributor source confirming that -- currently -- the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER "seems" to be priced at either $999 or $1199... but $999 would be a much more aggressive mark for NVIDIA to take. This source added that without getting into the weeds of how price listings work in their system, the source summarized saying that NVIDIA is trying to either hide the RTX 4080 SUPER pricing, or the $999 price if "just being communicated now".
