Meet The SKEYE Nano Drone The World's Smallest Quadcopter

Drones are delightful, yes. But have you ever actually used one? If you have, great. But most folks haven't, and if you'd like something to train on--something tiny, nimble, lightfooted and cost-conscious, the SKEYE Nano Drone is the way to go.

This puppy fits in your hand, your pocket, your... we'll stop there. It can do it's thing inside and out--flips, acrobatics, six-axis control--and now it can be yours for a 41% discount. That's almost half off.

Although it's wee, the SKEYE can hold its own in an open-air environment, even with wind. With its on-board stabilization gyroscope, you can do pretty much anything you want. It even has different modes for beginner, intermediate, and expert pilots. With the right amount of practice and man-hours, the SKEYE pulls figure eights and flips. Flight time per charge is around 7-8 minutes, enough to give you a good idea of your control in the field. The drone also has LEDs for night-time explorations.

We think our discount is the best you'll find. Give it a shot and practice your flying... you never know when you'll be called upon to battle for the Rebel Resistance. 41% is almost half-off. Seriously... this isn't happening anywhere else. Only we are nerdy enough. >> Get 41% off the SKEYE Nano Drone ($34.99 incl. shipping)

Save over 70% on a lifetime of VPN protection

The only truly secure way of accessing public Wi-Fi and keeping snoopers at bay when you're online is by setting up a virtual private network. VPN Unlimited is one such service with unrestricted bandwidth and data - and a lifetime subscription currently has 70% off.

By routing your web traffic via intermediary servers, VPN Unlimited is able to disguise the identity of your device online. This makes it almost impossible for anyone to track your browsing, and it makes region-locked content available from anywhere in the world. To be worthwhile, you really need to run this kind of service full-time, so the limitless bandwidth and connection speed offered by VPN Unlimited is great. The subscription also covers you on up to five devices, with your data encrypted locally for safe transmission. To grab the discount, head for the link.

An update on malware found at TweakTown - it's been fixed

Earlier today we discovered that TweakTown had been attacked with malicious code from rmr-group.com being inserted to most of our pages. We first discovered the attack due to a warning from Google Chrome. It's the first time this has happened to TweakTown in our long online history.

an_update_on_malware_found_at_tweaktown_it_s_been_fixed_1

After having detected the problem, we removed all injected code from our pages. We are now running a full server scan to detect any issues. We are also changing all of our passwords and scanning our own personal systems for any issues.

We would like to apologize for any harm this may have caused to you or your PC. As a result, we recommend that all our readers run a full malware scan on their systems, as a precaution. It's unlikely any harm has been done, but it's better to be safe than sorry. We recommend Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Microsoft Safety Scanner - both are free.

Thanks for your understanding on the matter, and we will do all we can to ensure this doesn't happen again.

TweakTown Web Poll Results - Worst tech flop of 2012 - 2013?

Our latest poll had over 21,000 people who answered, "Worst tech flop of 2012 - 2013?"

tweaktown_web_poll_results_worst_tech_flop_of_2012_2013_1

I'll start by saying this was one of our most popular polls in probably forever. At the end of the day though, the responses were split for worst tech flop between Apple Maps and Windows 8, with 25% of the votes each.

Next in line for the fail award was the Xbox One. This poll has been running for many weeks and the One did get off to a "strong" start, but since it seems some readers have somewhat embraced Microsoft's latest console.

For the actual numbers, go here. In our latest poll, we want to know... "Did EA kill the Battlefield franchise with the terrible BF4 issues?" Let us know! Go here to vote!

Introducing Tweakipedia, our new home to all things tweaking at TweakTown

Today we are very excited to be announcing a new part of our website called Tweakipedia. Tweakipedia will be an amusement park of technology, filled with guides from how to overclock your computer to installing Windows from a USB drive. Not only that, but we will be taking in reader submissions on tweaks and guides.

This means that if you have a tweak recommendation, then you can submit it to us and we'll get it into Tweakipedia. We'll also love to hear suggestions on what you'd love to see next, so if you are itching to see how a certain GPU (or three) performs in a particular game, then you can request that. If you didn't know how to do a particular task - for example, building a system with Corsair's Obsidian 900D case - then we would secure that part and write a how-to build guide on it.

introducing_tweakipedia_our_new_home_to_all_things_tweaking_at_tweaktown_1

The idea is that the reader is heavily involved in Tweakipedia. We want you to submit ideas, requests, your own guides and tweaks - everything. This way, you're directly contributing to Tweakipedia and seeing it slowly morph into a gigantic source of great tech information. That is the next point - Tweakipedia will be a source we can continue to come back on in future reviews, articles and more.
