I'm not a bike owner, but I can imagine trusting your main form of transportation to a combination lock and an old tree might be nerve wracking when you're heading into a shop to purchase various items a bike rider may need. The last thing you want to return to when you're done shopping is a cut lock and your bike gone. Wouldn't the world be better if there was a bike locker of sorts where the user can deposit and retrieve their bike with the wave of a card? That's exactly what the Japanese have done.
In a video published by YouTube user acdcasic, we can see him using one of those fancy, shmancy automated bicycle underground parking garages we've all been dreaming of. The user waves his card in front of the sensor to have their bike retrieved and when the bike is deposited, the push of a button allows for the garage to grab your bike and park it underground.
PSY's Gangnam Style has been nearly everywhere as the song just can't seem to stop its momentum to completely taking over the entire world. Gangnam Style's dominance in the music scene has just taken another victim as it has now become the most-viewed video on YouTube ever.
Before Gangnam Style became the most-viewed video on YouTube, that "honor" went to Justin Bieber's "Baby," which on Nov. 24th, reached a whopping 803 million views and countless hearts of tween girls. But on Nov. 24th, Gangnam Style overtook that video as it reached 805 million views with approximately seven to ten million views taking place in a single day.
When a movie series does as well as the recent Dark Knight movies, Hollywood tends to go the prequel route in order to tell another side of its blockbuster movies that couldn't be told before. Before something like that happens to this beloved franchise, movie clips TRAILERS decided to take it upon themselves to not only provide a gag prequel trailer to the Dark Knight series, but to make a really good one set in "Gotham High."
The mock trailer includes all of the notable characters from the Dark Knight series. You'll see Bruce Wayne, The Joker and even a 30-year old looking Harvey Dent. All of the footage has been taken from the earlier works of the actors who played those roles, and thankfully, many of them happened to come up the same route as you'll see a lot of school-related material here.
It was just a few weeks ago when the first official Iron Man 3 trailer hit the Internet to which many comic book and action film fans probably thought, "Boy! There sure are a lot of nifty special effects in this trailer. I wonder what it would look like if it received a low budget remake?"
For the twenty-seven of you that thought a low budget remake would be cool to see, you were completely right as Dumb Drum put together a video that accurately replicates the original Iron Man 3 trailer, just without all of those fancy special effects.
If you ever attend a convention like a Comic-Con, one thing that will definitely get you the ladies is cosplaying as different characters. After watching Stealth Cosplay's video of his War Machine costume, I can tell you if he didn't already have a girlfriend, women at Comic-Con would be throwing phone numbers at him as if he was the guest of honor at a ticket-tape parade.
The suit took approximately one month to complete from start to finish that features the ability to open & close its face mask, blinking lights on the inside of his arms to simulate War Machine's machine guns and his shoulder-mounted mini-gun that spins when in use.
Laina's "Overly Attached Girlfriend" character made its debut this summer, and it seems like she's already started to sell out the character to companies who are willing to pay her to look all crazy while adding her own lyrics to karaoke tunes. One of the first "commercials" I've seen for the character just hit YouTube today promoting Samsung's SSD 840.
The video starring Laina's "Overly Attached Girlfriend" character has her speaking on behalf of your computer. It's been a long time since you've layer your Doritos-covered mitts on your computer and it wants you back. Bad. And it's willing to do anything to get you back, like threatening to release all of those quarantined viruses onto your system or deleting all of your pirated music downloads.
Netflix is a massive bandwidth hog, or at least a new report from Sandvine would lead you to believe that. The data that they collected shows that Netflix use contributed 33 percent of downstream traffic in North America during peak hours. From 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., Netflix dominated the competition in data usage.
Amazon, by comparison, only accounted for 1.8 percent, and Hulu only managed to use 1.4 percent. During this time period, roughly 65 percent of non-cellular data was composed of audio- or video-streaming services. This means that Netflix accounts for over half of all streaming during the peak hours of usage.
Sandvine is predicting that Netflix will, by 2015, generate "two times the bandwidth of YouTube and 10 times that of competing services." Sandvine's numbers are created by collecting data from over 200 customers worldwide over a period of one month. Sandvine is in the business of selling Internet traffic-management systems.
Halo 4 was officially released yesterday and will most likely take up permanent residence in many Xbox 360s for the next few weeks and months. If you were able to pry yourself away from the siren call of Halo 4, you're probably going to want to jump right back in after watching this music video The WarpZone published yesterday in honor of Halo 4's release.
The Wanted's "Glad You Came" has been playing on the majority of Top 40 stations across the U.S., but The WarpZone gave it a new meaning in its version of "Glad You Came." In their version, they tell a story of some infantry who are being completely overrun by the Covenant. Then, when things look their worst, Master Chief shows up and does his usual butt-kicking.
Google has been mapping the world for years now, but we should not be surprised if one day they decide to offer a "House View" mode in its Google Maps service. That inevitable concept was brought to life in a satirical YouTube video.
The Kloons put together a video showing what exactly we could expect when it comes to using Google's House View mode in Maps as they explore the inside of their home.
It should no secret by now that Disney purchased Lucasfilm a few days ago, which have left many Star Wars fans clutching at their lightsabers in either worry or excitement. Either way, big changes are bound to happen with everyone's favorite sci-fi series in the coming years.
With the recent news, Disney decided to take it upon themselves to show fans of Lucasfilm need not worry so much as they invited everyone's favorite Sith Lord, Darth Vader, to its Disneyland theme park. What results from the experience is a pretty funny video showing Darth Vader actually having fun.
