Gaming peripherals have been a huge aspect of this year's PAX Prime and Logitech didn't want to be left out. They brought out their recently unveiled G602 wireless mouse, which we got to go hands-on with.

The 602 gaming mouse had a good feel and provides up to 250 hours in performance mode, or up to 1400 hours in economy mode. If you'll be gaming, you'll want to make use of the performance mode. Corsair shows off its gaming keyboard lineup at PAX Prime 2013

PAX PRIME 2013 - While checking out Corsair's new headsets, I checked out the rest of their booth and took a look at their gaming keyboard lineup. Of course, the entire lineup was recorded for your viewing pleasure. You can see the video embedded below:

The top-of-the-line Vengeance K70 keyboard has been expanded into three different models. The first, previously seen, makes use of Cherry MX Red keys. The two new models make use of blue and brown switches, respectively. Furthermore, a feature that I have never before seen was demonstrated. The backlighting will light up the key that you just pushed. The keyboard also retains the ability to individually switch backlighting on and off for each key.

We get a chance to go hands-on with Corsair's new mousepads

PAX PRIME 2013 - Corsair unveiled two new gaming mousepads at this year's PAX Prime expo in Seattle, Washington. StackExchange founder designs new mechanical keyboard for programmers

Programmers are a fickle bunch when it comes to their keyboards. While some prefer a massive gaming style keyboard others prefer smaller more compact units that are straight to the point. However the one unifying feature that all programmers like is mechanical key switches. Today WASD Keyboards released a new keyboard aimed specifically at programmers.

WASD says that the new Code 87-Key Mechanical Keyboard was designed by the legendary Jeff Atwood, the creator of Stack Overflow.com. The keyboard came to be after Atwood was unable to find the ideal backlit mechanical keyboard to fit his coding needs. The result is what Atwood says is "the only simple, clean and beautiful backlit keyboard" he's ever found.

The keys are said to feature that distinct tactile pump while remaining quiet and non-clicky. Possibly the coolest feature though is the ability to switch between windows, Mac, Dvorak, and Colemark arrangements at the hardware level via a switch convenient placed under the keyboard. This means users can switch keys around then flip the switch and their set up on a new layout. The keyboard retails for $149.99 and comes in 87 and 104 key varieties.

Logitech releases new G602 gaming mouse and two matching mouse pads

Today, Logitech announced the release a new wireless gaming mouse that boasts a massive 250 hours of continuous, lag-free use while in gaming mode. "When I play, I don't want to think about anything other than my game and what my next move will be. When you look at the wireless gaming mice out there though, their primary flaw is the uncertainty of having to interrupt your game to replace batteries. Not anymore," said Ehtisham Rabbani, general manager of the Logitech gaming business group. "We set an outrageous goal, and we hit it. Doubling, tripling or even quadrupling the battery life of ordinary wireless gaming mice wasn't enough. We wanted to bring gamers an innovation that would change the face of wireless gaming forever. With 250 hours of battery life, the G602 does exactly that. It's time for gamers to get real science behind them so something as fundamental as a battery doesn't get in the way of winning."

Logitech says that the mouse is built around an ultra-durable standard with primary mechanical switches rated to 20 million clicks. The mouse also features 11 programmable controls that users can custom tailor to fit their gaming style using Logitech's gaming software. The Logitech G602 wireless gaming mouse will be available soon at a suggested retail price of $79.99.
