The Xbox 360 is now the old Microsoft console and it's good to see that Microsoft is still supporting the console rather than trying to push everyone to the Xbox One. Earlier this year Microsoft mentioned that the Xbox 360 would be getting a new GoPro channel where people could enjoy action sports footage and other content recorded using the GoPro cameras.
The GoPro channel is now available via the GoPro app on the Xbox 360. Users will be able to stream and curate content on the channel to their TV. To celebrate the launch of the new Xbox 360 channel, GoPro is offering users on the game console exclusive videos.
GoPro has two videos that will be available to Xbox 360 users a week before the videos are available elsewhere. The videos include a basketball trick shot involving a car. The other is an extreme snowmobile jump. Those videos are only on the Xbox 360 and should be available to watch now.
There's a massive update coming to the Xbox One in the coming months that will reportedly offer up twice the performance of what the next-gen console is currently capable of delivering.
Stardock founder and CEO, Brad Wardell, took to Neowin, where he said that DirectX 12 is the driving force behind it, and that it will pave the way for multi-core processing on the Xbox One. It will also allow the console to provide Full HD video games, instead of just the 720p (or so) that Xbox One gamers are receiving now.
He wrote: "The results are spectacular. Not just in theory but in practice (full disclosure: I am involved with the Star Swarm demo which makes use of this kind of technology.) While each generation of video card struggles to gain substantial performance over the previous generation, here, the same hardware will suddenly see a doubling of performance. Xbox One is the biggest beneficiary; it effectively gives every Xbox One owner a new GPU that is twice as fast as the old one".
Microsoft is planning to release an update to the Xbox One tomorrow that will bring a feature to the console that many of its users have been asking for. The update will install the ability for Xbox One owners to upload captured in-game footage directly to their YouTube account without the need to download it first.
"Game DVR and Upload are among the most used apps on Xbox One. We know how important it is to be able to easily watch and share video clips, and starting tomorrow we're rolling out an update to the YouTube app on Xbox One that integrates Game DVR and Upload with YouTube**, making it easier than ever to capture and share game clips with the world," Microsoft said in a blog post. "Now, use Game DVR to capture epic gaming moments, edit them in Upload Studio, and, with the simple click of a button inside the YouTube app (look for My Uploads**), share them instantly to your YouTube channel. The updated YouTube experience also allows you to watch YouTube videos in Snap Mode, earn Media Achievements, and adds YouTube channels to OneGuide for instant access to YouTube videos right next to your favorite TV listings or App Channels."
When the Xbox One launched without any mention of external storage, many gamers quickly grew concerned over how many games they would actually be able to install on the device's internal hard drive. With games like Call of Duty Ghost, Battlefield 4, and Titanfall consuming over 25GB each, and DLC packs averaging between 5GB and 10GB, there was good reason for this concern. As expected, Xbox One owners quickly filled their storage space and had to begin deleting content just to play a new game.
It appears that Microsoft is just about ready to release a fix for these issues, and in a post on Reddit, the company's Major Nelson confirmed that an external storage solution is on the way. When asked about external game storage, Nelson said: "External game storage is coming soon... I need to check on media support." So does this mean that Microsoft is going to open up the USB port to accept that external hard drive you have laying around? Not likely, as we expect the company to offer a 1TB and 2TB Xbox-branded external drive which it will charge a premium for.
A five-year-old boy named Kristoffer Von Hassel from San Diego was able to gain access to his father's Xbox Live account without inserting the right password.
All he had to do was put any wrong password to access second verification screen and then spam it using the space bar!
The incident came into light when a local news station KGTV reported the incident. The preschooler was obviously excited that he was able to gain access to Xbox Live, but then said that he got nervous thinking that his dad would find out. What's interesting is that his father, Robert, works in computer security. As one would imagine, he is very proud of his boy for discovering the flaw.

I'm sure I am not alone in thinking that The Last of Us is one of the best games that was ever released for the PS3. We reviewed the game when it launched last year and if you haven't played it, you should go buy it. I am sure many PS4 owners have been wondering when the game will come to Sony's new console.
A tip on just when that will happen has come from a PlayStation Eurasian Software Market Manager named Sercan Sulun. Sulun talked a bit about the game during an interview with Turkish CNN. According to the manager, The last of Us will come to the PS4 this summer.
He also claims that the game will include the Left Behind DLC as well. Neither Sony nor developer Naughty Dog have announced that the game is coming at this time.
Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers have some new apps to keep them occupied between gaming sessions. Microsoft has announced the launch of some new apps for both consoles this week. Gamers on the Xbox 360 will get access to the Major League Gaming app.
The app will allow you to watch live gaming tournaments and other content. Xbox One gamers also get access to the MLB.TV app that brings live Major League Baseball games to the console. The app requires Xbox Live Gold and a MLB.TV Premium subscription to watch the games.
Xbox 360 gamers also get access to some more movie streaming apps with the launch of Encore Play and Moviplex Play. The apps both require that you have a subscription to the networks on a participating cable or satellite provider.
