The Megalodon shark hidden in Battlefield 4 has been found

After four months of searching, the Megalodon Easter egg in Battlefield 4 has been found. There's a video clip below where you can check it out, but the hunt has been on-going since December last year.

JackFrags, a YouTuber, explained why he thought the Megalodon Easter egg existed, where he believed the mythical shark was swimming in the waters of Paracel Storm, but couldn't find it. After the Naval Strike DLC was released, a new map called Nansha Strike was unveiled, where the Megalodon was found.

Star Citizen's creator speaks out on Oculus VR acquisition

We were just as shocked as you when Facebook announced it was acquiring Oculus VR, but now we have Chris Roberts, the creator of Star Citizen coming out and making a statement regarding the acquisition of the VR startup.

Roberts said: "We don't need to go to anyone with deep pockets to make our dream a reality. To mass-produce hardware like the Rift, you need an outlay of hundreds of millions of dollars. Luckily our ships are digital so we have hardly any cost of goods, just the cost of developing the universe of Star Citizen and running servers that Star Citizen's universe will be simulated on".

In regards to Facebook's acquisition of Oculus VR, he says that he hopes Facebook's much bigger bank account helps fund Oculus VR's dreams of competing and owning the VR market. He wants to see the VR outfit eventually release an attractively-priced consumer version of the Rift. Roberts will continue to be a close partner of Oculus VR - with Star Citizen natively supporting the VR headset - and would only change his direction if he saw the Oculus VR team lose the "passion that convinced me to back the project".

The upcoming Doom beta will only be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC

If you purchase the upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order, you'll gain access to the upcoming next-gen Doom beta. But, if you were to purchase the new Wolfenstein on the Xbox 360 or PS3, unfortunately, you won't receive access to the beta of Doom.

The access to the next-gen beta of Doom will arrive for PS4, Xbox One and PC gamers. You can take a look at the Wolfenstein FAQ right here which explains it all, but it is a little confusing. If you were to purchase Wolfenstein: The New Order on the PS3, you'll still receive beta access to Doom, but just not on your console. You can take that access to your PC, and use it there if you like.

Wolfenstein: The New Order drops on May 20 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC.

Watch Dogs PC specs revealed, requires a grunty CPU and 8GB of RAM

We already heard that Watch Dogs will require a 64-bit OS and some beefy hardware, but now we have some specific hardware requirements for Ubisoft Montreal's open-world hacking [hopefully] masterpiece.

TweakTown image news/3/6/36815_05_watch_dogs_pc_specs_revealed_requires_a_grunty_cpu_and_8gb_of_ram.jpg

You'll need at a minimum, an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 at 2.6GHz, or AMD's Phenom II X4 940 at 3GHz. Ubisoft does recommend much higher specs, where it would like to see you use an Intel's Core i7-3770 running at 3.5GHz, or AMD's FX-8350 X8 processor clocked at 4GHz. When it comes to RAM, you'll need 6GB minimum, and for GPUs, Ubisoft's minimum requirements for Watch Dogs is an NVIDIA GeForce GX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5770 with at least 1GB of VRAM.

When it comes to recommended GPUs, you'll need an NVIDIA GeForce GX 560 Ti or AMD's Radeon HD 7850. Storage wise, you better have over 25GB free to install Watch Dogs - not bad considering Titanfall requires a mammoth 48GB.

You can pre-order Watch Dogs through Steam right now, for $59.99 - it will be made available on May 27.

Alien: Isolation to include original sound recordings from the movie

Alien: Isolation is shaping up incredibly well so far, but the developer behind the game has something to brag about: it has access to the original sound recordings from the Ridley Scott directed 'Alien', and they have also worked with musicians who worked with Alien's composer, Jerry Goldsmith.

This doesn't mean that Alien: Isolation will have sounds just from the movie, there will also be original sound and music used. The sound engine itself will recognize when a player is hiding from the alien, making the sound more intense. The Creative Assembly seems to be creating the perfect storm of an Alien game, something that is needed after the mess that was Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Mike Morhaime, co-founder and CEO of Blizzard, talked about Reaper of Souls, where he said the developer wanted to make sure that the expansion pack included everything Diablo gamers have always loved about the series. This includes countless look, and its dark gothic setting. Reaper of Souls includes a new act that takes place in Westmarch, a new playable character known as The Crusader, updated loot rewards, increased level cap, all-new class skills and abilities, replayable content from Bounties and Nephalem Rifts, a new Adventure Mode and the all new Mystic Artisan.

Minecraft on Xbox 360 continues to sell well, 12 million copies sold

Minecraft has become a phenomenon across multiple platforms, but on the Xbox 360, it has sold over 12 million copies. The PC version has sold over 14 million copies, while the PS3 version of the game has passed one million copies.

Mojang released Minecraft for Xbox 360 back in 2012, with updates being pushed out continuously since it was released. The next update arriving for the game is the Candy Texture Pack, which will arrive on April 18. When speaking with Xbox Wire, Business Developer Daniel Kaplan said that the team behind Minecraft is "looking forward to creating mashups with other games" for future packs.

Kaplan continued: "We're pushing the limitations of the 360 in various different ways and we will continue doing that. However, bigger world's would require the guarantee of a hard drive on each 360; since not all 360's ship with hard drives that makes things tricky. Luckily, on Xbox One, that's not an issue".

Microsoft to dig up landfill looking for copies of E.T. Atari game

What does Microsoft, a landfill in New Mexico, Atari, and the movie E.T. have in common? That was a hard one for me to figure out too, but it appears that Microsoft is filming a documentary that focuses on the mass burial of the game E.T. that was released on the Atari 2600.

TweakTown image news/3/6/36786_1_microsoft_to_dig_up_landfill_looking_for_copies_of_e_t_atari_game.jpg

Apparently the game did not do so well back in 1982, and Atari was struggling to keep afloat. With millions of copies of the game being returned to stores by consumers, Atari was forced to take back almost all of the copies it had produced. Legend has it that Atari shipped off this warehouse sized cache of worthless games and had them buried at a New Mexico landfill along with tons of other useless and unwanted stock it was footing the storage bill on.

Now Microsoft has been given the OK to begin prospecting at the landfill to find the millions of copies of the game, and to dig them up as part of the documentary. Unfortunately there is no documentation that provides conclusive proof that the mass burial ever took place, but Microsoft is willing to spend millions to find out.

The DLC pack launches first for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. It includes the new tactical 2-in-1 Ripper SMG/Assault Rifle. The new Extinction story is Episode 2: Mayday and follows the fight between humankind and the Cryptids.

Perhaps the best news is that this DLC pack brings the Predator to the game. The DLC includes maps called Ruins, where you will be able to become the Predator. Collision is a map on a crashed ship, Behemoth is atop an excavation platform in South America, and Unearthed is an updated version of the map "Dome" from Modern Warfare 3. The DLC is available for $14.99 or as part of the season pass.

Final Fantasy XIV beta now open to all gamers on PS4

Square Enix opened up the PS4 beta for Final Fantasy XIV to PS3 and PS gamers a while back. Those gamers who also happened to have a PS4 were invited to participate in the beta on that new game console. That means that many PS4 gamers were left out of the beta action.

If you are a PS4 gamer and like the Final Fantasy franchise, you can now get in on the action. Square Enix has announced that the FF XIV beta is now open to all PS4 gamers. All you need to do to play the game is download the beta version from the PlayStation Store.

You will need a Square Enix account, if you don't have one you can create one easily. The open beta will run from now until 9am on April 7. Another bit of good news for gamers is that the progress you make in the game and characters you create will be saved for play when the full game launches thanks to the beta running on live game servers.
