Jak Connor | Feb 14, 2020 2:35 AM CST

We have been hearing about how Robert Pattinson was geared up to take on the role of the Caped Crusader, and now we have video proof.

First look at Robert Pattinson as 'The Batman' in new dark video

According to a report by Deadline, Robert Pattinson is seen wearing the bat suit in red-saturated camera test released by The Batman director, Matt Reeves. The music that is heard throughout the video is a score done by Michael Giacchino, which adds a certain dark tone to Bruce Wayne's alter ego.

The camera test was shared on Reeve's Twitter account, and fans were quick to judge what they saw. Not-so-surprisingly reactions were very divided with many fans comparing Ben Affleck's Batman in Batman V Superman and Justice League, to what they are now seeing in Reeve's design with Robert Pattinson. If you didn't know, The Batman by Reeves will concentrate on batman's known trait as the world's greatest detective.

Batman themed restaurant to open in London

Anthony Garreffa | Feb 13, 2020 9:11 PM CST

I didn't think this would ever come officially from Warner Bros. but here we are -- there's a Batman-themed restaurant opening in London called Park Row, named after the neighborhood in Gotham that houses Batman's crazy enemies.

Park Row will be located in the heart of London so that restaurant visitors will feel like they're actually entering the Batcave when they arrive, with different areas in the restaurant catering to different characters and themes from the Batman universe. There's even a library themed after Alfred, Bruce Wayne's butler, and an "old Gotham city" villains theme with a speakeasy feel.

Harley Quinn gets her own space of course, while the largest section of the Batman-themed restaurant goes to the "Penguin's Lounge" which has live shows, and even a gigantic penguin ice sculpture. Each section will have its own individual menu with prices averaging at around $58 per person, but there is an expensive part of the restaurant -- of course, with the "Monarch Theater" designed by Ab Rogers Design, with prices averaging at $155 per person.

Joaquin Phoenix wins Best Actor award for his Joker performance

Jak Connor | Feb 10, 2020 4:48 AM CST

The 92nd Academy Awards ceremony has just wrapped up, and as expected, Joker actor Joaquin Phoenix has taken home a well-deserved award.

Joaquin Phoenix wins Best Actor award for his Joker performance

Above, we have the Tweet from the official 'The Academy' Twitter account, which states that Joaquin Phoenix has been award an Oscar for his lead performance in the billion-dollar movie 'Joker'. Fans of the movie expected that Phoenix would be taking home the 'Actor In A Leading Role'.

Phoenix is the second actor to win a Best Actor award in the role of Joker, as Health Ledger also won the award for his performance in the legendary 2008's The Dark Knight. If you have yet to see Joker, I can say that the performance Phoenix does playing Arthur Fleck, who is a troubled clown that tumbles down a road of misery, is next to none. He has a completely different take on the Joker character, and it's quite uncomfortable to watch him slowly descend into madness.

HBO Max creates production unit to make streaming movies

Anthony Garreffa | Feb 9, 2020 11:43 PM CST

HBO Max will be competing on a much higher level going forward, with WarnerMedia's new streaming service partnering with Warner Bros. Pictures Group to form a new production wing -- Warner Max.

HBO Max creates production unit to make streaming movies

Warner Max exists for the sole purpose of creating streaming movies, where the company is aiming to make 8-10 "mid-budget" movies per year for HBO Max, which Warner Bros. will then distribute in places and formats where HBO Max isn't an option. Think Netflix's exclusive Bird Box with Sandra Bullock and Netflix's other exclusive 6 Underground.

HBO Max could have a major winner on its hands if it actually listened to its customers, and released the Snyder Cut of Justice League.

Anthony Garreffa | Feb 7, 2020 9:11 PM CST

HBO Max is launching in May 2020 and one of its shining beacons that will attract subscribers will be the entire Friends library, something that they paid $425 million for the rights to -- but now there's news of a Friends reunion special.

Friends reunion special on HBO Max would make for an explosive launch

Deadline is reporting that they hear that Friends stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry have all "reached an agreement in principle with series' producer Warner Bros. TV to do what I hear would be an hourlong special. No one would comment, but I hear each of the six stars will be paid in the $3 million-$4 million range for appearing in the special".

It was just a few days ago that Matthew Perry tweeted something mysterious, sending Friends fans into a flurry. Perry tweeted: "Big news coming..." and nothing else -- a tease to this newly-rumored Friends reunion deal. HBO Max securing this would be a big deal as there are millions upon millions of Friends fans (myself included) that would love to see the stars of the show in an hour-long reunion special.

Anthony Garreffa | Feb 6, 2020 11:22 PM CST

The Matrix 4 is currently being shot, with Keanu Reeves spotted on the streets of San Francisco on February 5. It looks like Keanu is shooting some scenes as Thomas Anderson and not Neo, as he's not in his iconic trench coat.

The behind the scenes shot from The Matrix 4 could tease that the Matrix itself has been rebooted, as Neo is back to being plugged in and running through his life as Mr Anderson once again. We don't know anything about the movie whatsoever, with Lana Wachowski behind the camera for The Matrix 4 with Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell co-writing the script with the Wachowskis.

Keanu has seen the script for The Matrix 4 and called it "very ambitious".

When the platform released, it gained a ridiculous 10 million subscribers just within its first week. Now, Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, has said in a call with investors that the company's new platform is on the brink of breaking the 30 million subscribers mark. More precisely, Disney Plus is sitting at 28.6 million subscribers as of this past Monday.

The Witcher TV show's colorful world is inspired by the video games

The showrunner for Netflix's incredible Witcher TV show has explained during a podcast how she designed The Witcher world and where she drew her inspiration from.

The Witcher TV show's colorful world is inspired by the video games

The showrunner, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, appeared on the 85th episode of the 'Writer Experience' podcast and sat down for a lengthy chat about how she wrote the hit series. Throughout the chat, Hissrich was asked that even though the Netflix show is based on the book series, did she take anything out of the CD Projekt Red video games. To the surprise of the audience, she replied with yes.

Here's what she said when asked the question, "You know, when I first - I'm not a gamer myself, but when I first took on the project, I found a friend of mine, Matt Owens, who is a huge gamer and I basically insisted that he let me play. And then very quickly, I realized I stopped. So I watched him play and drank some beers. And I took in the visuals of the world. And what I will say is that, that's probably the biggest thing I took from the game".

During Super Bowl 2020, we saw a bunch of different advertisements, but one that caught many Rick and Morty fans' eyes was the Pringles ad.

The Pringles ad that was shown at the big game was from a few days ago and showed a bunch of robotic Morty's chanting a Pringle's mantra. It also showed Rick breaking the forth-wall and realizing that he was in a Pringles commercial. He says that he and Summer must have been taken over while they were sleeping.

Now, the official Rick and Morty Twitter account have released a short video showcasing that the new Rick and Morty 'Pickle Rick' flavor will be ready "soon". The video depicts a production line of hundreds of 'Pickle Rick' flavored Pringles. At the moment, it's still unknown how this new flavor is going to taste, and while pickle-flavored Pringles don't sound fantastic, I'm still excited to give them a shot!
