Intel and Ubisoft gear up with massive giveaway!

By: Array

As christmas quickly starts closing in, Intel together with Ubisoft is being extra jolly this year with a contest that began today and runs through until December 30.

To celebrate the recent launch of Core i7 as well as the new blockbuster release, Far Cry 2, one Core i7 965 Extreme Edition processor and 50 copies of Far Cry 2 will be awarded to participants, EACH DAY! - That's 30 965 Extreme CPUs and 1,500 copies of Far Cry 2 spanning across the month.

Intel and Ubisoft gear up with massive giveaway!

To be in with a chance for these xmas goodies, all you have to do is head over to this page to sign up and answer four basic questions before going into the draw to hopefully score yourself a copy of the game or better yet, one of Intel's flagship Core i7s!

I should quickly note that as with all contests, there are several conditions that apply and may prevent some of you from being applicable for entry, but after having read through them here, there's not really any major restrictions in place and most of you should be able to get in on the action, providing you're in one of the following countries :-

United-States, United-Kingdom, France, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Australia, New-Zealand and Canada.

Good luck!

Winners of our 10,000th news post giveaway here

By: Array

Using a not so scientific way of drawing the winners randomly - that is, scrolling up and down a list of entrants blindly and stopping the mouse on a random person - we are excited to announce that our three winners of the TweakTown 10,000th news post giveaway have been chosen.

Forum user vitali wins the Prize Number 1 - MSI N9800GTX PLUS-T2D512-OC Graphics Card. We would like to thank our great friends over at MSI for supplying the prize and I am sure that vitali will now become an MSI fan boy - or at least should!

Forum user mr_grimm wins the Prize Number 2 - GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3R Motherboard (Intel P45 + ICH10R) with DES. We would like to thank our great friends over at GIGABYTE for supplying the prize and yes you too mr_grimm we're sure will become a GIGABYTE fan boy!

Forum user crenn wins the Prize Number 3 - Kingston KHX9200D2K2/2G HyperX DDR2-1150 CL5 Memory (2 x 1GB). We would like to thank our great friends over at Kingston Technology for supplying the prize and yes you too also crenn we're sure will become a Kingston memory fan boy!

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition and said great things about us - we are also looking forward to the next 10,000 posts and beyond!

Congratulations to the winners - you will each be contacted via email soon (through the email you used to sign up to the forums) for your contact details and the prizes will be shipped out this month!

TweakTown 10,000th news post giveaway!

By: Array

It's hard to believe that late last week we broke 10,000 news posts here at TweakTown. We are actually probably quite a bit higher than that as some of the very old and original news posts were not converted over to a new site design many years ago.

We hit up our friends at MSI, GIGABYTE and Kingston and got some goodies for you to celebrate our 10,000th news post. Hang on, shouldn't we be getting the free stuff and not you guys? Oh well!

We are not going to make you jump through hoops or anything crazy like that... all you need to do is head on over to our forums (register here if you aren't already a member) and make a post in this forum thread - you can say anything even if it is just hello. You will be entered into the giveaway and your name could be randomly picked out from a hat. The competition will run from now until September 1st 2008.

If your name is picked out of the hat you'll get a chance at winning one of these fabulous prizes from the super cool people at MSI, GIGABYTE and Kingston.

2006 Christmas Giveaway with nVidia and ASUS!

By: Array

Christmas is only a short time away and it's the season for giving, they say! So we will giveaway some prizes to some lucky winnersÂ…

We have teamed up with our friends from nVidia and ASUS to giveaway a grand total of six ASUS EN7600GT 256MB graphics cards. We will have a total of three winners who will receive two cards each, so they can run in SLI dual graphics mode. They are no GeForce 8800GTX but team two of these cards together and you'll see quite good performance for your holiday PC gaming needs.

How do I win?

Winning is quite simple - we're not making you jump through loops of fire, although we should because that would be funny! You need to tell us why you think that you should be sent a couple ASUS GeForce 7600GT cards - Are you a poor student? Do you have a low-end card which just isn't good enough for your level of gaming needs? Make it good - the most creative and interesting story will win the prizes! White lies are acceptable but try and make your story as true as possible as we'll be able to tell if it is full of lies.

Please post your answer in this thread and the minimum word count is 200 words, any submissions with fewer words will not be considering for the prizes. The giveaway contest will end on 31st December 2006, any entries after this will not be considered.

How do I claim my prizes?

We will chose the three winners based on how creative and interesting is the reason is. nVidia will send your prize directly from their office in Taiwan and anyone in the world is eligible to win, nVidia pay for shipping. You will need to provide your full name, full address and contact phone number for courier reasons. Your prizes will be shipped by nVidia around 7th - 14th of January 2006.

Submit your stories here and good luck!
