Thanks to Disney Home Entertainment Australia, we have two copies of Disney's 2012 computer generated blockbuster Wreck It Ralph on Blu-ray to give away. We took a look at the Blu-ray release a few weeks ago, and were certainly impressed with what we saw.
Set inside the world of arcade games, Ralph (John C. Reilly) the adversary of the arcade hit 'Fix It Felix Jr', has become tired of playing the token bad guy role and decides to jump from the confined world of 'Fix It Felix' to the FPS 'Hero's Duty', while obtains the accolades he's been longing for. Unfortunately for the game world, the consequences of having done so may mean the obliteration of every game in the arcade, and everyone that inhabit them.
To go into the running to win a copy of the Blu-ray, correctly answer the following question:
What is the name the candy infused racing game that character Vanellope von Schweetz races in?
Send your answers to my e-mail address, email@example.com. The competition is open to the world with TweakTown covering shipping charges, even if you live in a remote cave somewhere and will close on Wednesday 29 May.
Thanks to Icon Home Entertainment, we have three copies of Dredd 3D: Limited Edition on Blu-ray up for grabs, which retail for $50.95.
The future. America is an irradiated wasteland. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC lies Mega City One a vast, violent metropolis of over 400 million citizens living in perpetual fear. The only ones attempting to impose order in the urban chaos are The Judges. Law enforcers, juries, judges and executioners rolled into one. The epitome of these Judges is Dredd. The Chief Judge gives Dredd a mission. To road test a rookie Judge, the powerful psychic Cassandra Anderson. It is to be a training day. The Judges head for a seemingly routine homicide in the notorious Peach Trees mega-block - a 200 story vertical slum run by the pitiless Ma-Ma clan. When the Judges attempt to arrest one of Ma-Ma's chief henchmen, Ma-Ma shuts down the entire building and orders her clan to hunt the judges down. Our two judges are now caught in a vicious and relentless fight for survival.
The Dredd 3D Blu-ray features the 2012 film in both 2D and 3D, along with some solid extra features. The limited edition Blu-ray version also adds a high quality slipcover and an insert graphic novel.

This week we have teamed up with Plextor who are giving away one of its new and fast M5 Pro Xtreme 256GB SSD drives.
When our own Chris Ramseyer reviewed the M5 Pro Xtreme 256GB he awarded it with our TweakTown Best Features Award, and gave it a high rating of 92%. He had this to say:
"The M5 Pro Xtreme 256GB does cost less than 840 Pro and Vector and that makes up for the slight decrease in performance. All three drives in this capacity size are smoking fast and I doubt anyone would feel a difference while in use. The benchmark tests highlight the micro differences and they appear much larger than what you would notice in the real world, but for some that matters.
Plextor did raise the bar of their products with the new Xtreme drives. The new NAND flash also produces a nice increase in sequential performance, but at the cost of random performance. The sequential increase easily outweighs the small loss of random performance though since you will actually notice the sequential boost."
Who doesn't like free stuff? I know I do, and let's face it, you do too. Google are giving away a slew of devices in their Google Play Favorite Things Sweepstakes, which is unfortunately limited to those based in the US, aged 18 or over, and on Twitter.

What you'll need to do first is follow @Google Play, then choose something you like on the Play Store - this can be an app, a movie, or a magazine. The next step is to tweet a link of the item using the hashtag #favoritethings. The final step will have you complete an official entry form.

This morning Microsoft announced a new Imagine Cup competition that is aimed at game developers in the 9-18 years old range. The Imagine Cup Kodu Challenge is designed around Kodu, an easy to learn game creation tool kit and programming language.
Scott Fintel, producer for Kodu at Microsoft said:
"Microsoft developed Kodu to transform programming from a skill perceived as overly difficult to grasp to one that is fun and kid-friendly. By getting students interested in game design at an early age through Imagine Cup, it's our hope they will acquire new skills that will translate into a lifelong passion for computer programming and computer science and will encourage them to explore STEM-related careers in the future."
The Kodu environment can be downloaded for free on Windows based computers and has generated over 16,000 kid-created games since its release. The Imagine Cup Kodu Challenge begins today and runs through May 17th 2013 and features two age brackets 9-12 and 13-18 that students can compete in.
In this Twitter weekly giveaway we have teamed up with Corsair to giveaway one of its new Hydro Series H90 and Hydro Series H110 all-in-one CPU liquid coolers. For this giveaway we increase your chances of winning as two winners will be selected for either prize.
In our review of the H110, our cooler editor Chad Sebring had the following to say:
"In the realm of the casual buyers out there, the H110 shines in a different light. It is one of the largest sealed AIO solutions on the market. It does do pretty good, and the results are great compared to a stock cooler. Then there is the fact that a lot of buyers out there also have Corsair cases, PSUs, SSDs, and memory, so why not keep the theme going?
In this type of a situation, I can see someone spending the money and using the H110 to complete the themed build with a bit of bragging rights to having the largest Corsair AIO you can buy."
